Are those Tower AT or Euro AT systems?

They look like this one: https://www.flickr.com/photos/pato4sen/8685843523 but I'm not sure about that "Mega" label written on them.

So, Tower AT I think.

Hi, it's one of the tower systems which were available with a plethora of designations.

The 1.07 system BIOS is known, cf. https://forums.bannister.org/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=110823#Post110823 but I think we're missing the Phoenix Graphics card BIOS. A confirmed dump of both (while you're at it) and some nice pictures won't hurt wink

Thanks!

The Tower series' mainboard seems to be less integrated than the Euro AT's ... it has regular ISA slots where the Euro AT has a slot adapter, and on the photos at

http://www.planetmulti.de/v2/index.html?http://www.planetmulti.de/v2/schneider/towerat.html

you can see the Tower AT uses a "JIM", not a "BigJIM" chipset like the Euro AT ... funnily enough I just found pictures of my Euro PC II and the chip in question is also marked BigJIM ... anyone got a first generation Euro PC handy to cross check?

My two systems are the Tower AT System 220 and the 386 SX System 40.

The System 220 has an EGA bios, a Paradise'88 PVGA1A-JK card, a WDC disk controller, a Type 20 Hard disk drive, Jim chip and bios version 1.06.

The System 40 has a VGA bios, Big Jim chip, Hard disk and 386SX bios v1.00A.

I'll post a link when I have all the pictures and dumps. I'll try to make chd's from the hard disks too.

Ok, I managed to dump all eproms, but the plcc 27c64 on the WDC Disk Controller and the MBL8042 chips used as keyboard controllers.

@rfka01, I'm sending you a PM.

Cheers,
Rob

You can see the pictures here.

The system 220 is an EGA system (as in integrated EGA chip on the board), but the one I have was upgraded with an ISA VGA card with a Paradise chip.

The System 40 is a VGA system (integrated Ati VGA), a newer Big Jim chip and integrated disk controller.

Both systems have a backplane (TOWER EGA I/O in case of the 220 and TOWER VGA I/O in case of System 40) and then a CPU card (286 for the 220 and 386SX for the system 40), and can have additional expansion cards.

I've posted the ROM, pictures, software and manual for the Kaypro 2000 "Laptop" on the FTP.

Unfortunately it's not a direct drop in of the ROM into the PC driver, so someone savvy will have to have a look at it.

I've collected and uploaded pictures, ROMs, software and a manual for a quirky Australian XT clone, the Micro Byte PC230.
This one has an on board SCSI controller, so it's another one for the experts.
