D8741 can be read by almost any programmer which can program intel or nec 8741 chips. If you sent the chip here I could read it in 5 minutes, assuming it isn't protected.

I'm not on the net a lot lately. Certainly not consistently. So if my replies seem disjointed, it's...just...the...way...I..am

I'd be willing to donate a Rainbow (no k/b) or Victor 9000 (probably non-functional) to "the cause" for shipping. Or if the interested parties just want parts (say mobo or whatever) to lessen the brunt of shipping, I could do that also. Looks like rfk01 has all the R* hardwarez he needs though.

Jonathan, I'll get you those roms I swear it LOL.

Micko, my JDR Microdevices eprommer was broken when I bought it (and payed 50$ too). I guess I should work on that. I'm not even sure where it is. Oi.
I sent you a private message btw.

rkf01,
Just what is an NCR DMV??? I know what a Decision Mate is, as well as a PC4/PC4i (have 3 in less then mint condition, all green), but never knew of a DMV. I did see what likely was a Data Mate or something (met this Mormon lady who worked for NCR, and was the only person on planet earth who seemed to know what I was talking about. I saw the thing in a thrift store, but declined to grab it, wasn't a collector per se yet).
I know you're busy. When you get a chance, can you provide a picture? I have a sneaking feeling I know basically what it looks like already (sort of like a Lisa, right?).
I'll probably wind up giving away 2 of the NCR PC4s before long. If anyone's interested. I passed up a color model once, practically brand new. I'm still kicking myself.

Hi Folks,
this document describes the conversion of a Rainbow 100A to a 100B ... so in reverse this might help to understand the differences between the pictures and files for the machine I posted and the one described in the Technical Manual.

This document shows how the (colour) graphics option, that is present on my machine, works on the Rainbow.
