Yeah, Arbee pointed out that Madden 64 exhibits the same behavior. He can also vouch for the fact that I have a fix in my local tree that somehow rectifies both the audio lag in Mario 64 and doesn't break Madden 64 or Pokmon Puzzle League, but I haven't had the necessary 'net access at home until this evening to do a diff and figure out just what the hell it was that actually fixed it locally. smile

The FMV and main menu audio is working again (r14740) but it still doesn't go in-game.

Do I have a bad dump or is this expected behavior right now?

On a side note I fixed the exit crash of the aleck64 sets in MAME. It was because of trying to write to an non-existing NVRAM device.

Hi, I have a question about the files that MESS requires to emulate N64 games.

From what I understand, pifdata.bin comes from the peripheral interface chip.

But where do normpnt.rom and normslp.rom come from, and what kind of data is contained in them?

Small internal ROMs that the RDP uses for normalizing certain values.
