Constructive criticism to the UME logo, it is better I leave it to others. Why? If there are things you have to criticize... it's just about the logo ! I personally like it, but I like the original one also .

The proposed MESS logo has been updated by JacKc: ![[Linked Image from qmc2.arcadehits.net]](http://qmc2.arcadehits.net/tmp/MESS_logo_big-thumb.png)

Looks better now but I have still a problem with the long straight line. Perhaps it is a question of the taste. The pattern inside of the logo is random or should be a wave like on the UME logo? Maybe the position is too high?

I like the long straight line, it gives the impression that MESS runnnns, which it actually does ! The pattern inside of the logo is random or should be a wave like on the UME logo? I have no idea, must wait for JacKc's answer... but I think it's not "random" at least .

Yet another update to the MESS logo from JacKc: ![[Linked Image from qmc2.arcadehits.net]](http://qmc2.arcadehits.net/tmp/MESS_logo_big-thumb.png) And an alternate version specifically made to convince Anna : ![[Linked Image from qmc2.arcadehits.net]](http://qmc2.arcadehits.net/tmp/MESS_logo_big_alt-thumb.png) EDIT: Oh, and the answer to the question above is this: Concerning the "wave", it has been improve to copy original wave in original logo made by Micko (with a little varient).

Personally, I like more Annas special version. Another alternative would be to connect ME, cut, connect SS. However, we need more feedback from the community here.

Personally, I like more Annas special version. How surprising! I'm happy with both.

I prefer the "anna's version" too (not that anybody asked). It seems more readable. also, curious about a ME[Space]SS version. EDIT : after fiddling with the logo, I think I'd like to see a "ME[space]S[space]S" version EDIT 2 : a quick mockup (It's just a roughly tweaked version of JacKc's logo) of a M[Slanted space]E[space]S[space]S, with breaked sub-text. Not to be used as-is, it's just to see how it goes. I like the look from JacKc but I have some doubt about monoblock readability (same goes for the old logo). But don't get me wrong, it's just my very own personal opinion. ![[Linked Image from img528.imageshack.us]](http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/9649/messlogobigaltthumbtest.png)

Yeah, the Gregoire version just proves my point about the original UME logo with the spaces in it - it looks dreadful. Can someone point me to an instance of the current Micko logo? I recall it looks way, way better than either JackC's or Gregoire's versions but I need it in front of me to verify WRT UME, I think if you eliminated the "U" from JackC's version you'd have something. Starts with the M from MESS, ends with the E from MAME, so it's both symbolic and would look better.
