Back on topic smile... I found & fixed another issue when "parent slots" are already nested like in case of ti99_4a / peb:slotX (SVN r4090).

BTW, this means that real slot recursion should actually work now as well, but this is untested of course.

Thanks.

I've actually found out that there IS at least one case which allows slot recursion (vic20 / exp), but this is not working correctly with the above version.

However, right now I'm trying to make this work and to also indicate the parent/child relationship between slots (since I'm using a tree-widget anyway).

OK, SVN r4091 allows real slot recursion now (the only example I found for this is "vic20 / exp"), and the parent / child slot relationship is indicated in a tree.

Yeah, that actually speaks for the driver (and its developer(s)) smile!

SVN r4095 has fixes for a few corner cases. For example, bebox shows two slots that have no options in the -listxml data, but they are not listed in -listslots, which confused the slot editor (wasn't expected). Another issue was related to finding the right parent slot where a new slot should be added to.

I also found a few more drivers that allow slot recursion, for example cpc464/exp or kc85_2/exp, so there's a greater number of test cases than just vic20/exp smile. They all look good to me now.
