Hi all, that it's my question - how enable cheats in qmc2.
I enable 2 options from qmc2-mame: cheat ticket and "cheatpath", but when start mame i dont view cheat in "TAB" menu. Also i try with import settings from mame.ini - same problem.
For test start M+GUI - no problem with this FE, cheat menu "work".

Tnx for help smile

I don't use cheats myself, but it reportedly works when the exact same settings are made through QMC2 as you would on the command line smile. That is, enable cheats and set the cheat path: -cheat -cheatpath <cheat-path>.

Please send me the settings you made here (or your qmc2.ini) and the command that's issued by QMC2 to launch the emulator (see front-end log). In case you use relative paths (i.e. default paths), it may just be that you forgot to specify the working directory that's used when the emulator is launched.

So, best is to upload both files (qmc2.ini and qmc2-mame.log) and post the links here smile.

Your 'cheatpath' setting points to 'G:\MAME\MAME_Emulators'. Is that really correct?

Yes, cheat.7z inside this folder. Also copy cheat file in qmc2 folder for test, but this method too not work.

OK, found out how it works... copy cheat.7z to the emulator's working directory (yes, if you didn't set one, QMC2's installation path is the correct one), and then DON'T set the cheatpath to 'G:\MAME\MAME_Emulators' but to 'cheat'!! This will cause MAME to load cheat[.7z]!!

Alternatively copy cheat.7z to the MAME installation path and set the working directory in QMC2 to point to 'G:\MAME\MAME_Emulators' (assuming that this is where MAME's intalled). See here for changing the working directory used by the emulator.

Another option is to use an absolute path, but it must look this way: cheatpath = G:\\MAME\\MAME_Emulators\\cheat (.7z omitted)
