I've just transitioned to UME .147 with all accompanying ROMs etc. (I've been using MAME/MESS/QMC2 for a long time.)

Everything sets up nicely, (I'm gonna LOVE UME!), but I am unable to audit my ROMs and when attempting to check my Samples, QMC2 lists nothing, but continues to run the process even after I've stopped it and QMC2 then needs to be Force Quit.

(Probably not related, but I AM able to check all Images successfully and the Software Lists also load.)

Mac OS 10.6.8. UME64 0.147.

Below is my Frontend Log. I've highlighted what I assume the problem is related to.

Many thanks for your help!!
Lewis

Regarding sample checks... that's a known thing and the sample check has meanwhile been rewritten completely (in the latest SVN revisions).

Yes, your ROM audit obviously doesn't work because UME crashes while running 'ume -verifyroms'... could you try the same on the command line and see if it works there!? Something like this:

Code:
$ /path/to/ume/ume64 -rompath /your/rom/path -verifyroms

Thanks so much for replying so quickly!

As it turns out, there was something wrong with my build of UME. I compiled a new binary minus my usual flags and now I am able to verify my Roms.

Thank you so much for this amazing frontend. I hope you know that you bring a lot of joy to a lot of people.
