Well, read the first post again:

It's actually quite simple provided you have a working MAME dev-tools + Qt add-on setup smile.

Oh, and you cannot run it outside the 'arcade' folder (for now)... that's because of the QML / JavaScript files it reads from the 'qml' sub-folder.

Note that I've added two new make targets in SVN r4473 ('make arcade', 'make arcade-clean'):

Code
rene@thunder:~/src/qmc2> make help
Usage: make [<targets>] [<configuration_options>]

### Target ### ### Description ###
all (default) Build QMC2, aliases: qmc2, bin, qmc2-bin
clean Clean up compilation & linkage binaries from source tree
config Show build configuration options and their current values
dist Create source distribution archives (tar.gz and tar.bz2)
exclude-list Recreate SVN exclude-list (only used by developers)
help | ? Show this help
install Install QMC2 binaries and data files for system-wide use
lang Recreate binary translation files only (if not up to date)
os-detect Detect host OS and distribution / version
snap Create source distribution archives with date and time stamp
configure Create qmake output and stop, alias: qmake
arcade Build arcade-mode binary (qmc2-arcade)
arcade-clean Clean up arcade-mode build
tools Build tools: qchdman
tools-clean Clean up tools: qchdman-clean
tools-install Install tools: qchdman-install

Run 'make config' for build configuration options.
Also, 'make distclean' now implies 'make arcade-clean' as well.

The wheel presentation like you show.

It's really similar to 3dArcade, but i don't mind you do this your way, even if it's a bit similar to 3darcade as :

1) It would be great to have both the features of 3d arcade and QMC2 in one frontend
2) I prefer having to talk to you as your project is 100 times more alive than 3d arcade

I know that you're far from wanting to implement a 3d interface laugh

Well, yes, in this regard it may be similar then... what I've seen from 3D Arcade was that you'd move to an arcade machine in a 3D scenario (and play the machine inside this "world") -- that's not what I intend to do, but I think you already got it.

(EDIT: ah, yes, you're talking about a different front-end)

Yes, it's meant to be a "go straight into the games" graphical alternative to the full-blown QMC2 GUI. That's useful for use in arcade cabinets as well as on mobile devices and standard desktops.

Thanks to JacKc we now have a nice cabinet overlay image, which 'flips' when you click it:

The back-side will be used to display additional images & information:

No, it's the same one, you can choose between the two presentation : 3D, or wheel

I've changed the background image again and added an automatic adjustment to the cabinet overlay's anchors based upon the current aspect ratio, so that it will try to keep the upper part of the cabinet in sight:
