For MAME or MESS ?

You can use the game list filter for the MAME variant:

Control + Alt + C = Correct
Control + Alt + M = Mostly correct
Control + Alt + I = Incorrect
Control + Alt + N = Not found
Control + Alt + U = Unknown

The key combination has also a toggle (ON/OFF) function.
I suggest to disable Not found and Unknown.

Anna is right, but the "ROM state filter" will only work correctly when the ROM states have even been checked.

Note that it will also only work on the "game list with full detail". All other views (the parent/clone hierarchy as well as the category- or version-
views) do not support ROM state filtering!

Also, these shortcuts are the default ones -- you can change them freely.

You can also change the ROM state filter through the setup dialog (see "Game list" tab).

Note that "incorrect" doesn't necessarily mean that the game doesn't work. It's about 95% of the times that "incorrect" means "won't start", too. But I'd not filter out "incorrect" games if I were you...

The complete explanation about the states is here, BTW.
