Weirdly, mine was blank where yours says "New Game". I guess I'll try a clean build later.

Here the next autoboot example to run the official test program of the operator's manual:

That's when you level up. So it's doing chunky-to-planar character conversion, probably for the spinning reels or whatever's going on there (the screen looked very Yoshi's Island-ish).

IIRC from when snes9x did not do the level up screen text correctly but did run, the gfx dma crap being done there is for the text only.

bml3a driver
Insect Hunter (disk image)
Submarine Treasures Pick Up (disk image)
Japanese Word Processor JWP-6890 (disk image)

The snapshot sizes are different because of the different graphics modes.

The Japanese Word Processor need the Kanji ROM. I think jedwidz will take care about it.

It works on Sasaji´s Hitachi Basic Master Level3 emulator.

Sasaji made a tool called "kanji" which create a pseudo Kanji ROM image. The ROM is external.

We need a proper, UN-MANGLED dump of the kanji rom; It is possible that the system hardware address/data port access of that rom doesn't expose it in proper linear order, or if it does then nobody has actually dumped it properly via software without mangling it somehow. It would be so much easier if someone just desoldered the rom and dumped it that way.

How's about we assume no such ROM's gonna surface (which with this Japanese stuff is a given) and just do whatever he did to make shit work?
