The ROM for the PCPI Applicard for the Apple II surfaced. Unlike the already-emulated Microsoft-style Z80 card which runs the Z80 from the Apple's RAM and limits the Z80 to 1 MHz, the Applicard has it's own self-contained 64K 6 MHz Z80 system that talks to the Apple via a pair of 8-bit latches and is therefore much, much faster. CP/M 2.2 is right at home.

That card was at one point the fastest CP/M computer on the market, wasn't it? It outpaced stand-alone equivalents.

It had to be right up there. Very few standalone CP/M computers had a 6 MHz Z80, let alone with no wait states.

MESS SVN r24718 pc9801ux driver Micro Musician II (.fdi floppy disks) Does support the driver the MIDI-Out? No problems with NP2 (FMgen version).

No. Sound board support is very limited as per now (only pc9801-26 / -86 are supported, and for the latter there's a regression with ADPCM sound too).

Yeah, and also Will Harvey's Music Construction Set(tm), although the IIgs version of MCS was also heavily Mac-inspired.

The fixed 50/50 black/white background, fixed non-overlapping windows with gaps, and palette positions look like something straight out of Bill Atkinson's design book.
