the latest version was out yesterday. its not perfect, its still very slow on some games, but at least it run several games, including Tekken 3 at 60 fps on my machine.

it seems that no one on this board know about that version of mame (nothing to do with Pete's), but since some of the big emu sites have posted the news, i think everyone'll find out soon.

just wonder if you guys will stop releasing zinc 1.0 because of this or not?

As previously stated, I personally have no problem with it *if* they post the source. If they don't, I am going to be very cranky indeed.

Hello... First of all, sorry for my poor english.
I'm not good at writing and reading english. smile
I am one of assistance of the zinc-plugin supported derivative MAME.
I wrote some code for zinc-plugin support routine because I think it is
funny thing.
I sent my source code to one of derivative MAME maintainer in Korea.

I also wrote other things (avi recording, transparent in-game menu box, etc)
and I released my source when the official MAME source updated.
You can download my source code from the korean board.
Needless to say, I will release all things I did(including zinc-pluign support
routine) in next time.

I read the most of R. Belmont's 'ZN-a-thon' thread.
But I don't think I understand exactly that what they think about what I did.
(I can understand some really easy plain english text. sorry...)
I didn't thought my working is forbidden or need permission from zinc and/or
zinc plugin's author.
If I was wrong or need something have to do, please tell me in plain english. sorry.

by the way, What is mean that 'going to be cranky'?

you can download my source from [MAME PROJECT] - [source] section.('MAME32K 0.83 source' ).
I posted it a few days after official mame source updated to 0.83.
Of course, there's not included zinc plugin support routine yet.

nice work. I am curious to see the source on how you incorporated the zinc renderers but I see that you indicated that you have not posted it yet.

Also, in response to your question about cranky. Cranky is slang for not happy. RB indicated in his post that he would have no problem with it if it was only a source code release but would not be happy if the actual executable program is released

Thank you bsmith679 for explanation.

I want to make an apology for releasing executables first. I am sorry.

I really love ZiNc and respect authors who made ZiNc and Pugins. I don't want to make any trouble with them.
I just want to do test myself whether I can do it. I thought it is fun,
so I sent my source to other people to share my funny thing.
And I will post my recent sources in the board as soon as possible.
