Personally, I'd first release the wave dumps as lossless FLAC so they're not lost (and so they don't take as much space as the WAVs), and then try making the images.

I feel there's currently too many cassette dumps that are only available as their respective tiny processed files rather than the original recorded sounds. In my oppinion that's a similar situation to storing the music tracks as MP3s in CD-based systems, more handy but not exactly the same thing.

Well, if they transfered correctly, cas-files are digital files as they were programmed in the original computer.

Yes, and that would work for most programs, but the digital representation of the tape dumps may miss some info as exact timing that may be used as copy protection, thus making the cas file not work due to the missing info.

That's why it's always a good idea to have the original wave dumps at hand.

Yeah tape images should be distributed as audio.

Looks nice. It seems, I have to load SSF1_Solar_System_Forces with "CHAIN" instead of "TAPE".

Yes, use chain. I don't really understand why there's at least three different commands for loading things from tape: old, chain and tape

Uploaded a bunch of SORD M5 tape files (CAS/WAV) on FTP Server.
The WAV files (22050,8,1) working well on MESS.
If the frequence/bit rate is too low, you can make a new conversion.
Ola`s dumps (SSF1_Solar_System_Forces) doesn´t work with this frequence/bit rate.
