Great work man, nice to see it alive! Thanks for helping out preserving such a rare system (and SlyDC too of course for loaning the machine+carts) and this one is indeed really rare.

Are the colors right though? Comparing with SlyDC's videos they look much darker.

Great, we can now say that MAME emulates the worst console ever.

The colors are a problem. My console was dead, and SlyDC's working console had a home made composite out without an amp/buffering stage, so I don't think we can trust its colors TBH.

I could align the colors on the box shots, but its clear those have horrible NTSC "red-oranges".

I gave back the console and carts to SlyDC. Maybe we could ask him to undo the composite mod and use RF ... if we can trust RF->VCR->VID Capture card to give us a clue.

I'll just make the colors closer to the box shots in the mean time.

Tweaked colors and ratios

For hardware of that era, I think the original shots are probably closer to reality. I'd go with the corresponding Intellivison palette entries given it's another GI chipset, which lines up somewhere between the two options shown here.

2)Hooked up -cart and softlist (I had to code a manual endian flip routine since I know crap about that sort of low level stuff in Mame.

Didn't know his console was modded, pretty much impossible to find someone else with one console to check though. I think SlyDC has like 3 of these though (or at least had according to his FAQ), maybe one isn't modded?

If it can't be verified I agree with RB using the Intellivision palette will probably be a good guess.
At least it's easier on the eyes now
