Off-topic is fine. Encouraging people to use known defective MAME forks is the problem.

If you put them at http://www.mamecheat.co.uk/forums/viewforum.php?f=3 they can get put in the next cheat collection.

The only other difference I notice: the pink girder to the right of the ceiling has too many bolts.

On the original scan, the truck is mirrored except for the part on top above the cement mixer. The left side appears a bit higher than the right. Very odd, but I assume the scan is untouched.

The holes. Oh, shit, yes. Incredibly sloppy. Changed it. There shouldn't be anything wrong like this with the earlier stuff, just this one.

The mixer, right. I guess it's got that join because it makes sense, otherwise it would be floating

I don't get it... Everybody keeps complementing the scanned artwork because its cruddiness looks just like in the original systems and now all of a sudden they're being replaced with clean vectors again?

Emulation itself is split between people who want to play the games as accurately as they can and those who want old games "enhanced" to look like new modern ones, so they can pretend they're more dangerous pirates than they are.

Outside of MAME, the latter have essentially won.

They haven't, MCM was just scruffily, yet heavily edited because the scans didn't come out as clean as they maybe should be. The colours bled here and there and the metalwork was all fuzzy. From a distance it doesn't seem too different to the real thing, but I wouldn't look too closely. And if anyone wants to try a rescan in future to replace my edit, that's cool.

I suppose I just wanted to try because with retroarch, I can get very low latency inputs. It sounds like it's worse on RA so oh well.

I'll try that out when I catch up to all the releases. So far I've revised the scripts a few times and I have to go back through and redo some of the older ones that don't match with the new ones.

They all work but I think the older ones I did were kind of sloppy in execution since I was kinda learning how to format lua scripts during the process.
