Interesting things about this terminal -- it supported code uploads (which ran in user mode on its m68000), and had a PSG (AY-3-8912). There was a Music Compiler (referred to here: http://cd.textfiles.com/crawlycrypt2/sound/st_play/readme.txt) and several games, some with sound, apparently.

It also used exactly the same keyboard as VT100.

Making progress... looks like this early rev did not yet support upload of pixel data via esc sequence, so ASCII art only :-)

There's no blitter so scrolling is awfully slow. Quoting terminfo database:

Quote:
The bitgraph was a large white box that contained a monochrome bitmap
display, and a 68000 to run it. You could download code and run it on
the cpu, it had 128kb (I think) of memory. I used one in the late
70's, sure beat a vt100. It had one strange feature tho -- it used
the cpu to bitblt pixels to scroll, it took longer than the refresh
rate, and looked like a rubber sheet stretching, then snapping
upwards. It had everything the early mac had, except a floppy drive a
small screen (it had a 17" crisp beauty) and a real OS. They (Bolt
Beranek and Neuman) sold at most a few hundred of them to the real
world. DOD may have bought more...

I like the "WTF" factor of that second shot, using a MESS driver to run MESS smile

Indeed, v2 firmware does support the requisite sequence, so...

MESS
fm7 driver
fm7_disk.xml

Is the game "Abyss" working on MESS?

PS: The game accept commands in English.
This page can be helpful for the FM-7/PC-8801 version.
