Had genuine "Multitasking" MSDOS 4.00 images been added to the softlist ? i didn't found them and it's quite an important piece of history...

It requires an adjustment to IDE timing. If a read command is sent for one sector then another for the next the interrupt for the second command will arrive instantly.

Unreal Gold up and running! I suspect this is due in part to the recent i386 and Pentium opcodes being added. Resolution is 800x600 at 16-bit colour on the at586 driver. It's also extremely slow, about 1 frame every 4 seconds, so not too many screenshots here. There are also some slight graphic errors, (see second screenshot of the dead person leaning against the wall in the vent at the start the of the game). Great progress for MESS though.

I'm trying to install win98 using the os install instructions thread but when I do this command:

That would be correct. There is no default CDROM emulation for the ct486 driver according to the '-listmedia' command-line output.

yeah, you have to add the CDROM, last time I used it I was using

mess64 at486 -ramsize 16M -harddisk hdd.chd -board2:comat:serport0 msystems_mouse -board3:ide:ide:1 cdrom -isa2 sblaster_16 -cdrom kq6.chd

Did Ted Green's recent voodoo fixes fix the weird blue texture glitching on some models in Unreal Gold? (I don't have a way to test this here)
