Well, I was thinking about emulation of the ESE-SCC or the MegaFlashROM SCC+ products, but whatever would work sounds good. I understand it's not high on the priority list though.

Current status: Using SD-Snatcher in slot 2 (-cart2 sdsnatch) 3 out of the 5 Konami Game Collection sets from the current hash files give SCC sound: 1, 2, and 4. I've found working versions for 3 and Bangai-hen as well; would it be good to add these to the hash files or replace the ones that are currently there? If so: how do I go about doing this (I can change the hash files locally of course, but how do I contribute these changes to this team?)?
Disk 2 of the Konami Game Collection 1 does not appear to work for me at all (the system reboots after switching the disk); is that just for me or is this a common problem? I've tried alternative dumps of that disk, but they all appear to share the same problem.

No, I started it from the menu from Disk 1 (last option), and then when it asked for the other disk I switched disks via the menu. I then hit space, and saw the MSX system reboot. Edit: It appears the game does start after that, but without the SCC sound. I'll see if I can find a dump that does.

King's Valley: Treasure Version (秘蔵版・王家の谷) on Konami Game Collection 1 does not have SCC+ audio. Instead of finding hacked versions that play SCC audio, have you tried buying the game(s), dumping them and then finding why they don't play SCC audio in MAME? Edit: Using a dump that appears in the "original_disks" collection, it plays SCC audio in blueMSX but not MAME. sha1: e4f74b4d895feaa0d4042fdc10415b5ff405c022

I have not; I've sold and gave away all my MSX material over 20 years ago, and even if I had not I wouldn't know how to do a proper dump anyway. Besides: others have already dumped these disks, and I doubt I could do a better job. Based on the current hash files, KGC 1, 2, and 4 work fine with SD-Snatcher (but not with Snatcher). KGC 3 and BH do not. I've found No-Intro dumps that work fine however; I have no idea if those are hacked versions or not. Edit: Using a dump that appears in the "original_disks" collection, it plays SCC audio in blueMSX but not MAME. sha1: e4f74b4d895feaa0d4042fdc10415b5ff405c022 I'm not clear: Are you talking about King's Valley here or ...?

FWIW, No-Intro dumps normally are not hacked; their entire thing is redumping games that previously had crack screens/intros/trainers and other "enhancements" added.

No-Intro doesn't cover the disk MSX/2 games, they're focused on the cartridge games (which etabeta can tell you, is very much outdated/incorrect compared to MAME's).

If I would like to add these alternate Game Collection disks with working SCC+ sound to the official hash files, how do I go about doing that (provided you'll accept these changes)? Also: should I add them as new clones or replace the current disks in stead?
