Is the Bicom the "extended graphics card" with the rats nest of wires that was in your Alphatronic? smile

You mean the orderly documented, professionally connected colourful cable that's connected to the 16 pin header? yeah, sort of grin

01 brown: ground (mainboard bottom left)
02 red: ground (mainboard bottom left)
03 orange: connected to TR-10 (top left of the piezo buzzer) via two resistors, to the left 470 Ohm (5% tolerance) to the right 3,9 kOhm (5% tolerance)
04 yellow: IC-1086 - HD74LS175P - Pin 12
05 green: IC-1012 - SN7407N - Pin 1
06 blue: IC-1097 - HD74LS175P - Pin 6
07 violet: IC-1012 - SN7407N - Pin 5
08 grey: IC-1097 - HD74LS175 - Pin 9
09 white: IC-1012 - SN7407N - Pin 11
10 black: IC-1097 - HD74LS175P - Pin 2
11 brown: IC-1013 - HD74LS04P - Pin 12

I typed in the test program for the BICOM graphics card from the manual. It's supposed to print an amplitude modulation graph to the screen.

Let's say the colourful moving characters are somewhat ... hypnotic smile

I've uploaded a copy of the BICOM disk that contains the BASIC program to the FTP.

Reset/boot with the disk in the first drive, confirm the "files" question with RETURN and then issue

I've created a pull request - what was categoried as the ROM from the BICOM machine actually were the ROMs from the plain alphaTronic PC with an earlier PCB. I've added the BICOM enhanced PC's ROM and renamed the sets according to the descriptions silkscreened on the PCBs.

The DEMO1 program on the BICOM demo disk appears to be the same as the one I've typed in (see last post).

Running it from the plain alphaTronic PC ROM produces an error

running it from the BICOM enabled ROM shows the correct text and colours, but the actual graphics plot is missing

The ROMs that came from my machines are German, which can be seen in the correct display of Umlauts as opposed to the set that was initially used in the driver:
