Hi,

I don't know if this is a known issue or not or just something I did but I was trying out Playstation in MAME, psu, with some settings and works quite well. However if I change it to pse, psj or psa with the exact same settings MAME crashes with "Unable to create history.db"
and I get a Mac crash report (thought I would pass it along) -
(Mac OS 10.14.6)

The crash appears to be CD related. Did you give it a disc image, and was it a loose image or a CHD?

I used a .cue and .iso file ( just to be sure) and both work fine with psu but the with the others, it will crash right after the Sony diamond logo appears.

Ok I just tired it again, didn't changing anything, except for psu, pse, psj, psa part and it started working, no crash. Not sure why or why it was crashing before.
Puzzling but at least it's not crashing so... :-)
