The first VSM in the address map (CD2319) [0000;3FFF] is toast! So no word decoding can take place.
I tried my 52XX and 51XX dumping setups to no avail, dump is semi-consistent garbage over multiple tries with bit density changing at each 0x100 byte frontier.

The second one (CD2320) [4000;7FFF] does work though, I can play some phrases/words from it using my dev tools.

Both CD2319 and the CPU will go to decap then, there is 0 chances of this ever working again.

There is a possibility of resurrecting it!
Optical dump the dead/ESD'd VSM, and use a pic-based VSMulator to replace it in vsm address space. I'm 99% sure it will work then.
