Yeah, the Whink was much more active on this one than on others. I always use the same temperature and duration, and this is from the same bottle, so I assume it had something to do with the die itself (thinner passivation layer?). I did electronically dump the lower 7 bits so I'm sure those are OK.
Sorry, I meant to describe the piezo circuit better but forgot to. It looks like they ran out of R outputs, so they used transistors to AND R9 and R10 together. R9 goes to the base of a transistor whose collector goes to the piezo and emitter goes to the collector of a 2nd transistor. The 2nd transistor's base goes to R10 and emitter to ground. So both transistors have to be on to energize the piezo.
