There's an annoying problem with sound, caused by aliasing, which again is caused by missing interpolation in MAME's sound core. Hear: 1) http://tsk-tsk.net/net/temp/chicken_dac.wav 2) http://tsk-tsk.net/net/temp/chicken_speaker.wav The old speaker device has its own filtering, unlike the modern dac device.
It remains a mystery who is the original contractor/manufacturer. The Japanese version was by Bandai, and they consistently have PT-xxx as pcb label.
I also fixed Milton Bradley's Plus One (the multiplayer Simon-ish board game).
