Hap- I will try those instructions. Last week I tried to control an SM510 still on the G&W PCB, but didn't have any luck. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I'll keep trying. The idea was to dump ROM without removing the chip, to send opcodes to turn on each segment individually to map them, and also to test opcodes.
Jonas- JR-55 looks good! Some of the panels are easier to photograph than others. I tweaked the contrast a little and I can see the "traces".
I got my LCD panel PCBs and they look good, but I'm leaving for Houston in a couple of hours for an all-week business meeting. I had an internet outage this morning that turned out to be too much being downloaded from my web site, so I had to stop the web server. I'll try turning it back on tonight. I've been migrating the big pics, but there are still several gig on my server, and my internet is too weak to support someone downloading everything or many people hitting me at once.
