I scanned the screens anyway because a better picture without the background might help to improve the shape of the segments, they are available here.

Could you try doing the same thing for Donkey Kong? It's going to be a lot easier to do the segments with a picture of them without any of the backgrounds in place. If possible, try to clean the screen before doing the shots, to get rid of most of those thin particles of dust that are tricky to clean sometimes.
