1998 Furby has the Sunplus as the main processor and the TI for speech and IR communications. Unfortunately, the patent wrapper doesn't include the TI code. Both chips are globbed onto little PCBs that are soldered to the main PCB. The patent has tons of details. I noticed the line

MICROFICHE APPENDIX
This application includes, pursuant to 37 C.F.R. ยงยง1.77(c)(2), 1.96(b), a microfiche appendix consisting of four (4) sheets of microfiche containing 297 frames of a program listing embodying the present invention.
Oops, 300 pages of code, not 200. And unfortunately the patent wrapper contains about a dozen copies of the patent itself at about 60 pages each, as well as about 30 more referenced patents, many for creepy-ass dolls. They could have sent fewer than 1/2 as many pages if they had just listed the referenced patents instead of printing them out in full.
