Can you give a brief hardware description? Or is it an epoxy blob festival?
I haven't gotten it yet. The patent says it's an 8085 with two 2732s, but I bet that was just the prototype. I found an article that says it has an NEC MCU.
Guess what came today?

It's got an NEC D7508C and a Motorola 40DIP labeled SC82014P. I haven't followed the traces to try to figure out what that is. There's also a 512x4 PROM and 1Kx4 SRAM. The built-in modem is an MC14412V. The LCD display is driven by two NEC D7227Gs.

It was powered by the phone line when off-hook, and by a Polapulse battery otherwise. I never saw those for sale individually, but my brother had a One Step camera and when he used up a film pack I'd tear it apart and remove the battery.

I also bought the video and serial/parallel interfaces for the TC101. The video interface has an MC6847 and an Intel D8749 as well as a 1Kx8 SRAM. The serial/parallel interface has an Intel D8748 and 1Kx4 SRAM.
