Cheers. If I had the resources for other things, I might do some other handhelds but I don't and it's a big ask. But this reminds me that I have a nice DMG Game Boy bezel almost done somewhere in this same style. What stopped me from finishing it was how to accurately do the screen and set up a shader. I see RA (probably a banned word here! :D) has one but I'm not sure what MAME can do.
I think you did almost all LCD games currently emulated in MAME already maybe except some of the Konami games? It would be pretty cool to see some of the LED games get the hydef treatment that's for sure, most of these aren't very enjoyable without the artwork, Sean scanned the art/parts for some of them so there's some source to some of the games at least. I'm not sure if Rik already sold his collection, if he didn't then he would be able to source artwork for pretty much everything.

I always wondered about this, shouldn't the actual LCD background color be something that could be configured in MAME's settings instead of being hardcoded for each device? This would address this problem, we could simply set it to white/transparent and then let the shader deal with the color. Being hardcoded there's not much it can be done regarding this and in some cases the color isn't exactly that accurate.
