I agree with RB on darkness, see Octopus with shadows here:
And plenty more G&W on youtube where, shadow is not as dark as your artwork.

hydef FYI, gnw_bfight and gnw_climber now have their crystal screen versions as parent. Could you update your artwork ready for the next MAME version? Thanks in advance!
