Small progress from the Alfaskop project I do with Mattis Lind at Dalby Datormusem, it is the bootrom of the Alfaskop 4110 Display Unit (terminal) that tells us it wishes to boot the software over the SS3 bus. The SS3 bus is an SDLC link connected to the Alfaskop 4120 Flexible Disk Unit which also is connected to the Alfaskop 4101 Communication Processor over SS3. We plan to do the long haul over to the physical world to connect to both other Alfaskop devices as well as an emulated IBM mainframe, eg Hercules. Read more about the project here: Alfaskop emu
We are currently awaiting dumps of the operating system floppy disks for the 4120 from a museum in Denmark so we can continue to work towards boot of the terminal, both the emulated one below and the physical from the emulated 4120 via the 4101 (which also boots from the 4120). If anyone happens to sit on Alfaskop system 41 software or hardware or documents apart from what can already be found on bitsavers, let us know :-) PR for the infantil skeleton driver is coming up during the weekend.
