I wish I could edit my last post because I need to change it. I misinterpreted the test results. Messui is neither reading nor writing to the ini files regardless of readconfig/writeconfig.
What confused me is previously it was clearing the ini files. Now it does nothing and therefore mounted devices stay mounted.
