mizapf,

It should not be too difficult for messui to read image devices and use them while mess ignores them without a command line request. If this was not happening, just add a new conditional routine in the source code.

From my point of view, if I place a floppy in a computer I don't expect gremlins to remove the disk overnight just because I turned the computer off. smile Hard drives, floppies, memory size, and cartridges should not "disappear" unless I make specific changes. Isn't that in keeping with exact emulation?

Unfortunately I don't know C/C++ programming nearly well enough to make heads or tails of the source code. So I can't do more than make suggestions. It's unfortunate that the programmers who supported messui have lost interest.
