EDIT: if you take anything during the auto-anim with Richter at start-up makes the game to tightly hang for whatever reason ... why doing this makes the game to hang goes beyond me ... -> http://mamedev.emulab.it/kale/fast/files/sotn.zip

EDIT2: Legacy of Kain surpasses the "FMV" point and keeps repeating the same line at this screen over and over, could be an easy fix:
